Getting right into the tuning of the Tundra, we focused on the latest 5.7L V8 engine using the Denso ECU. With a 20% drivetrain loss, that is roughly 304 rear wheel horsepower. For example, the Toyota Tundra makes 381 horsepower to the crank. Typically a RWD vehicle has a 15-20% drivetrain loss and a AWD vehicle a 25% drivetrain loss. The eddy current, belt driven dyno will accommodate up to 1800hp vehicles and 175mph if you have the guts. We've made sure to be completely thorough in testing and finding all the kinks and oddities this ECU throws at us in a wide variety of situations, climates, etc.
87mm pulley custom tune will become the priority afterwards (already have a couple testers on it). This has been a literally daily project for the last 4+ months and the 90mm tune is nearly released. No one else has been testing and refining a tune for the Maggy as long as we have (since late September), across multiple climates and elevations, with as many test trucks as we have.
